The 2 years Erasmus + project TOGETHER - TOwards to the cultural understandinG of thE oTHER was successfully closed in September with a two days event in Corfu, including the Final Conference and the last transnational project meeting of the partners!
More specifically, on Tuesday 06 September 2022, the project coordinator, CulturePolis organized the Final Conference on the topic “The promotion of intercultural dialogue in local communities” with the presence of all partners. The event took place at the historical building of the Ionian Parliament and was run under the auspices of the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands.
The scope of the conference was to work as a multiplier event in order to disseminate the results of the TOGETHER project:
#1. The Comparative Analysis Report: a valuable research outcome that presents the current state of awareness and development of intercultural dialogue in 5 countries Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Italy, and Lebanon.
# 2. The Ambassadors Curriculum: an enriching document that describes the educational process local actors may follow in order to become “ambassador” of intercultural dialogue.
# 3. The TOGETHER e-Toolbox: a digital common space dedicated to the promotion, awareness-raising, and knowledge-sharing on issues related to intercultural dialogue.
#4. The Intercultural Dialogue Guidebook: a practical toolkit full of case studies, experiences, and activities that help local actors implement intercultural dialogue practices in the settings of their local community.
The event was attended by representatives of local government, local cultural and social entrepreneurship bodies, professors and experts in intercultural dialogue and management, and members of cultural associations and local organizations.
The next day, on 07 September 2022, the representatives of all project partners had their last meeting “Completion and Valorization” at the Flaggineion Cultural Center where they reviewed the TOGETHER’s outcomes, shared thoughts and plans for the future and celebrated the successful implementation and the valuable partnership they achieved to establish the last 2 years.
